Tennis

The OFRC tennis facility is the premier tennis site in Alamance County featuring 10 soft composition clay courts, 4 hard courts and 4 indoor composition Hydro-courts.  All courts are lighted for extended evening play.  OFRC is one of the few tennis facilities in the states that operate year-round.

Some enthusiasts participate in outdoor tennis almost year round, but the action really picks up between March and October.  From Men's Night to Gate City; inter-club challenges to USTA Leagues and tournaments; Rally Ball and Junior Team Tennis to our "Living Legends", there is plenty of organized action to keep your game sharp.  Weather you are new to the game or a seasoned tournament player, Olde Forest is the place to meet new players or challenge your abilities.

Congratulations to the Olde Forest Racqueteers!!  Our Division 2 ladies captured their second Gate City League Championship.

The Olde Forest Racquet Club and the OFRC Junior Tournament Committee was honored by the North Carolina Tennis Association and The Southern Tennis Association with the Junior Tournament of the Year for 2010.

Kudos to our Men's 7.5 Super Senior Combo Doubles Team that won the local USTA league play and advanced to the district tournament held in Wilmington, NC.  Captain Tom Bazemore was proud of his guys to win their flight (5-0 in their respective pool) and advance to the finals.  Unfortunately, the steak ended for Bazemores' Ballers as they were defeated by last year's champions 0-3.  Congrats to the team on an excellent season!!
